Through our urban design work we seek to provide efficient and elegant solutions to complex spatial problems. The early establishment of an 'understanding' of the physical characteristics of a place, and factors influencing its performance and potential, are at the heart of our approach to urban design.
We seek to identify and define what is important and valuable about a place, be it a site, a town/city or a sub region and to explain how it could be made better for the benefit of investors, funders and communities.
This evidence-led approach to place making helps to build confidence with those being encouraged to support and invest in change and furthermore it limits the potential for considered design to be replaced by stylistic cliché.
