Lincoln Eastern Growth Corridor

  • Project: Masterplan
  • Client: Lincoln City Council

Lathams together with project partners were commissioned by the City of Lincoln Council to prepare a strategic masterplan for the North Eastern Quadrant of the Eastern Growth Corridor, an area located to the immediate east of the city centre and north of the River Witham. The masterplan identified potential locations for housing growth as well as areas where employment of various types could be expanded.

Flood risk, the railway, power lines, geotechnical problems, restricted access and significant archaeology helped to provide a series of major technical challenges for the masterplan. The proposed Eastern Relief Road provides the opportunity to open up otherwise inaccessible sites within the masterplan area.

The masterplan provides a strategic vision of how the development of this area of Lincoln and has been used to inform planning and housing policy formulation.
