We provide a comprehensive planning consultancy to complement and support our architectural, and urban design work, supporting clients from the initial scoping of planning issues and feasibility through to preparing and submitting planning applications (and, if necessary, on to preparing and submitting appeals, presenting proofs of evidence, and acting as expert witness).

Whether within a planning or a wider regeneration context, we have a well-established expertise in stakeholder / public consultation. Looking from the outset of any project to establish a strong understanding of the community’s needs and wants, we have developed a range of specialist services and techniques to achieve this, from local resident meetings to door-to-door surveys, ‘workshop style’ open days to one-off bespoke events. And at the critical pre-design stages of projects, our senior consultants operate as Design Advisors, Design Champions or Enablers, to help clients build capacity and prepare briefs with a view to getting the very best designs and eventual value from their projects.
